COMMENTARY:

It's been a whole six weeks, but Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow have managed to make it back to #1. After constant changes with the Dixie Chicks, Coldplay, and Norah Jones, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow are #1 for a second week, up three spots from #4 last week. Still at #2, the Dixie Chicks' "Travelin Soldier" hangs on at #2, despite their major downfall on the Billboard Charts. Next are 3 Doors Down, who are up three spots up to #3. A couple months back, as they fell to the 30s, it seemed as if they only peaked in the upper top ten, but theyve made a comeback, and are now peaking at #3, potentially #1 in a couple of weeks. Last week's #1 has reached its bullet, as Norah Jones' "Dont Know Why" falls to #4. the Dixie Chicks #1 holding "Landslide" are now down to #5.

Linkin Park rises four spots to #6 with "Somewhere I Belong." Fellow rockers Evanescence are up two spots to #7 with "Bring Me To Life." Aaliyah and Smilez & Southstar fill in the next two spots. After weeks in the top twenty, No Doubt's "Running" enters the top ten again at #10 with their latest top ten "Running." (No Doubt has a record of reaching #1).

Christina Aguilera makes big news as her single "Fighter" is this weeks Greatest Gainer. She jumps 19 spots to #25, breaking the top forty. Along with Christina, Stacie Orrico, Lil Kim, Coldplay, Avril Lavigne, and Third Eye Blind are seeing great increases this week.

This week was another week of a close call battle for the title Hot Shot Debut. Jewel outlasted both System of a Down and Daniel Beddingfield by the end of the week, debuting her fresh single "Intuition" at #65. Two spots down, System of a Downs anti-war statement "Boom" debuted at #67, while Daniel Beddingfield's latest debuted at #68. Other notable debuts came from Lenny Kravitz, Tamia, and Pumb, along with a re-entry by the Raveonettes.

So there you have it. We'll ask the same great questions as we always do What about next week? Who will be #1? Will Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow last another week? Or will the Dixie Chicks or 3 Doors Down beat them to it? Who will debut next week? There were eleven heatseeker debuts this week, all waiting to join the big guys on the big chart. Well, tune in next week for all the answers. Peace.
