Kimberly Caldwell: It seems every show there's a Kimberly! Well, Kimberly's first, again! And this time, she's done worse. "Come To My Window" had it's minor accidents, but it was a good song. This was probably flawless, but the song selection did not compliment her at all. Regardless, Kimberly has a fair chance at making it through. There were better singers, there were worse. She's in a vulnerable situation right now. At first, she was an automatic for me, now, I'm kind of thinking otherwise. I still think she'll get 4th place though.
Clay: Clay!!! I love this guy. This is one of the few male singers I really support on this show. This guy has a good voice, and he has the nicest personality. Paula is definately going to pick him. I liked his "Open Arms" performance better, but this one was good too. I originally predicted him to make it, and I know he will. If not Paula, it will be the audience. If one male performer goes through (Which will probably be the case), Clay's got it in the bag. Go Clay!
Nasheka: Nasheka. Definately got prettier, worked on the attitude, and delivered a better performance. But still, she showed little emotion and was very flat. I like the tone of her voice though. Originally, I predicted her to get through, and I think she will. Maybe a little harder than Trenyce or Clay, but compared to the other girls, she's definately making it in. The audience will probably favor someone like Kimberly, but I think Simon's got her back. I dont know why he was so excited about this and not Trenyce.
Carmen: She kept saying country country country, and I said, Hey, maybe this might sound different. I remembered it was LeAnn Rhimes, so I thought she'd do a better version of "How Do I Live." Turns out, she sounded more pop than any of the other contestants, and to top it off, her voice was really weird. Halfway through, I thought, this isn't a good idea. I never liked the idea of bringing these four girls back, and I was thinking about Candice, and how she could have been there. But, Candice isn't there, and Carmen is. She won't get the votes, I can guarantee that.
Olivia: After Carmen, this has to be good, right? Then I turned up the volume, and still couldn't hear this girl. Man, I could hear the backup singers, but not her. Halfway through, I started thinking of Equoia and how she deserved it. Now I'm really thinking how bad of an idea this is. Man, this is wildcard! We're not supposed to be bringing back people that were cut from the first round. Anyways, she's got a different look, but a boring average voice. Dont get me wrong, it's not horrible, it's just not exciting. She won't make it, I can tell you that.
Janine: From the first time I saw her, I thought to myself how annoying this girl is! I also said "This girl is never gonna make it." Then, all of a sudden, she gets called to wildcard! I knew she would be bad, and turns out she is! And she is so annoying! She doesn't even have faith in herself! People say she's pretty, I dont think so. Looks isn't even gonna get her through, she was that bad. If I were Pat, I'd be mad. She is tied with Carmen as the worst performance. These two ladies are possible worse than Bettis, Louis, Jacob, and Juanita combined! What a disaster! What a disaster!
Chip: WOW! Finally! After three back-to-back trainwrecks, there's someone who made me smile. At the L.A. Auditions, I loved how he sang this song. And he's got a lot of energy, compared to last week. Definately better than anything Rickey could do. But, somehow, (and I also predicted this), I don't think he's going to get through. Simon is encouraging us not to vote for him, and I think I know why. There needs to be an even number of guys and gals, and they want Clay. They don't want Chip. They might as well have had Clay with eight other girls, cuz Chip isn't gonna get through. It's a sad world, but it's reality. Or at least, I think.
Aliceyn: First off, I'm a huge fan of Sarah McLachlan, and I take this song seriously. Aliceyn has a good voice, but cannot pull off this song. Also, she can't pull it off three whole times! How boring is that! But she's got some talent, just not a good personality. She did not seem like she was enjoying this. But, she was probably technically better than Kimberly Caldwell or Nasheka, it's just America doesn't know her, so she probably won't get through. I gotta hand it to her though, awesome job, out of the four new girls. Not a tough thing to do, but nice job.
Trenyce: TRENYCE TRENYCE TRENYCE! Where to begin, where to begin!!! I had faith in her ever since the time she sang "Love Sneakin Up On You." She was put in a hard group, and wasn't even picked in the top three of group 1. Very shocking. I think her group one performance outdid Charles, Julia, and Kimberly. This time, she's #1. "Let's Stay Together" is a tough song, but it suited her well. I recall Justin singing this last year? He comes nothing close to Trenyce! Trenyce has more spunk and energy, that you just want to hear the whole thing. And man, she hit those notes! She's got a good tone and a good vibe. The outfit, I wasn't feeling, but she can work on that. We're not judging her clothes, we're judging her amazing voice. Out of 8 average performances, we saved the best for last! She will go a long way. She's at Tamyra's level. And what was up with Simon? I can really say he's biased now, if he won't give it up to Trenyce, but he'll like Nasheka. Anyways, I predicted she'd make it, but now there's no doubt. Trenyce is in for a long time. Get used to her, folks.
OVERALL:
- Trenyce: Without a doubt, the best thing that's come all season! Hands up for Trenyce!
- Clay: Definately another good one. He's in for the ride
- Nasheka: Good voice, kind of flat, but still no personality.
- Aliceyn: Good technique, but boring personality, and bad attitude. Bland performance
- Chip: Better than last week. In a good position
- Kimberly C: Good voice and technique, BAD BAD song.
- Olivia: Just boring and too soft
- Carmen: Hit the notes, but just weird voice! Weird vibes all around me
- Janine: One word. Horrible. Another word, annoying.
PREDICTIONS: AMERICA'S VOTE: Kimberly Caldwell This round, she was bad. The first one, she was good, and we know she has enough fans to get her to the top three. So, I think the fans will call in again and get her through to the next round. She'll probably last as long as Ryan Starr did.
RANDY'S VOTE: Trenyce If no one picks her, Randy will. Randy didn't seem to like anyone else as much as he liked Trenyce. If America doesn't pick Trenyce, Randy will. She's definately in. If not, something's wrong with the show.
PAULA'S VOTE: Clay It's obvious. Paula is in love with Clay.
SIMON'S VOTE: Nasheka It's obvious on this too. Her performance was average, and he loves it. Trenyce's was amazing, and he's bored. He's defiantely giving this to Nasheka.
Usually, this show is predictable. I know for sure that Nasheka, Clay, and Trenyce will be the judges picks. It's just Kimberly I'm unsure about. Judging on how America votes, she's in. But who knows, maybe Aliceyn might wiggle her way in. We'll find out tomorrow.
REACTIONS: This was half predictable, half unpredictable. Let's start with the predictables. First off, everyone and their mom knew that three girls would advance. Even if Clay and Chip got the most number of votes, something told me that only one of them would get through, and it was also obvious that it would be Clay. Secondly, it was very predictable that Kimberly, Trenyce, and Clay would get through. Now, for the unpredictables. Randy picked Kimberly! If anyone, I thought it would either be Simon or the audience vote. I don't think anyone would have thought Randy would pick her. I was overall happy, as she's been through a lot of adversity, and she looks so comfortable in the top 12! Next, Paula. I was thinking, "If she doesn't pick Clay, then Clay's definately America's vote." Then, she picks Trenyce! WHOO HOO! I really thought Randy would, but Paula's just as good. Trenyce was the best, without a doubt, and will probably go very far. Someone like ... Tamyra? She might even be better in the coming weeks. Next, SIMON! I kept saying... "Hurry Up! Just Tell us it's Nasheka already!" Then it turns out to be Carmen! WOW! She is the most unpredictable thing to happen, and we're including Charles in this. Personally, I think anyone (except Janine) would be a better choice, namely, Nasheka. But hey, give her a chance, and you might like her a little. Hey, why is everyone hating? At least it's not Janine, right. Anyways, next, it's all about Clay. Tonight was definately Clay's night. Everyone's happy for this man. And this is foreshadowing! He will go far, I tell you. Far! Well, that was a good night, it could have been shrunk into 15 minutes, but there we have it. Julia, Charles, Ruben, Kimberly Locke, Vanessa, Rickey, Joshua, Corey, Kimberly Caldwell, Trenyce, Carmen, and Clay! Next week will be one heck of a show. See you then.
