TOP 32: GROUP 3

Kimberly Kelsey: Each week, there's at least one shocker. Let's think of Trenyce from group 1 and Hadas from Group 2. This week, it's definately Kimberly! Before, we've seen her sing Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," and to be honest, I didn't have much of an opinion of her, I just knew she was hot, and she was a real b*tch to her mom. Well, ironically, she's #1 again. And I think she did awesome opening the show. I thought there would be more good ones in this group (Equoia, Rickey, Vanessa), but I soon realized that Kimberly was one of the best. She was definately overlooked. I think she'll have a solid chance to make it to the next round, but she might suffer Caldwell's disease of personality.

Jordan Segundo: Hawaii's very own, Jordan Segundo, started out second. I was a fan before this performance, but he soon made me a bigger fan. I think his voice is amazing, but he needs to work on those moves a little. He just looks a little awkward on the stage. I really thought that Rickey would out-do him, but by the end of the show, I realized that Jordan was the best male performer of this group. Singing Stevie Wonder's "For Your Love," he sang it strong and powerful. I think Jordan was another one of this weeks' "suprises." A very good one too. I don't think he'll make it to the next round, just because he was underexposed, and there are others (Vanessa, Rickey, Equoia) who were favorites before the top 32.

Vanessa Olivarez: Vanessa started out great, and I think she had a good song selection. It really matched her. Her voice isn't exactly "diva-licious," but it suits her. Not really an American Idol sound though. But at the end, she really suprised me when she held those notes. Then, her personality started to shine, and I became a big fan! Vanessa is what personality is all about. If you thought Kim Locke had personality, you've probably forgotten about her already. And yes, maybe she needs to work out a bit, but she's so cute with that baby fat! I can't picture her thinner. And her Keith impression was a classic. Definately hilarious! There's no doubt in my mind that Vanessa will make the top two. If not, definately top three. So who's with her? No one really knows.

Rickey Smith: Tough act to follow, but I did believe that Rickey would top her. Turns out, he couldn't. Singing Brian McKnight was hard. I really liked Rickey during the top 32 performances, especially when he sang that Michael Jackson song. I had high hopes for this guy, but he was dissapointment #1. I really thought he'd blow the crowd away, but it turns out that it was kind of boring and dull. And his "Hercules" thing is getting old. And to be honest, I'm not feeling his voice as much as America is. It's too high and old for me. I think America is still in love with this guy, and vote him through. Probably Top 3. Overall, I think this guy has talent, but didn't show it tonight. I think he was the 2nd best male performance.

Samantha Cohen: Samantha was another shocker. Didn't expect much from her, but she wasn't bad. She wasn't amazing, but wasn't bad. I didn't like her song choice, but her tone of voice is really soothing and beautiful. She was probably one of the most underexposed of the group, along with Jordan, so I don't think America will vote her through.

Louis Gazzara: There's always one bad performance per group. First was Bettis. Second was Jacob. This time, it's Louis. Just horrible. And his facial expressions add to it. Not good at all, not even good enough to be in a boy band. Not to mention, he's kind of ugly. I'm sorry, but there's just so much more talent here! Definately not worth any votes. And I think America agrees with me. Louis will most likely not be in the top three.

Equoia Coleman: When I first heard the announcement last week, I knew Equoia would make the top 2. It was simple as that. Now, I'm not too sure. She seems like she has a good personality. And she's cute, especially with her big lips. And she was exposed in the beginning, so I think she does have fans. And I think her fans were a little dissapointed. This was dissapointment #2. I really don't know what to think. She's so much capable of more. Why'd she pick that song! Anyways, it wasn't horrible, just wasn't exciting. The ending was good though. Maybe we'll see her at the Wildcard show. But I still love Equoia.

George Trice: No doubt, he's got the talent, but he doesn't really have an American Idol voice. He sounds like he's in his mid-40's. I did not enjoy the song, to be honest, and "Unchained Melody" is one of my favorites. I don't know what to think. Paula and Randy liked it, so maybe America will vote him through, but I doubt it. It's a possibility though.

OVERALL:
  1. Vanessa: Good performance, but it was really just the personality that made me give her the #1 spot.
  2. Kimberly: Really shocked me! Definately worthy of the spot.
  3. Jordan: The best male performer. If he worked better on the stage presence, he'd be #2.
  4. Equoia: The song wasn't good, but the voice was. The emotion was there, and the diva quality was there.
  5. Samantha: Hard song to sing, but very nice tone.
  6. Rickey: Good voice, kind of high for me though.
  7. George: Talent was there, but sounded too old.
  8. Louis: just bad.

PREDICTIONS

TOP TWO
Vanessa and... (Rickey, Equoia, or Kimberly)
Usually, it's very obvious who's in the top three, but this time it's a little harder. Vanessa had fans from the start, and she's probably got more now. Rickey and Equoia had fans from the start, but might have lost some. Kimberly didn't have much, but that was a really good performance

TOP THREE
Rickey, Equoia, Kimberly, or Jordan

(For the record, I'm going to say that Vanessa and Rickey are the top two, and Kimberly is the top three.)

REACTIONS: Okay, I was going to say that this was the most unpredictable group... but then I take it back. Last week, when they announced this group, I said "Equoia, Rickey, and Vanessa are going to make it." Last night, I thought it would change a little, but I guess not. Which really makes me mad at Fox for giving people like Jordan, Samantha and George so little airtime, and giving Kimberly a bad rep. I think Jordan should have took Rickey's place, and Kimberly should have took Eqoia's place. Yeah, we know they can sing, but it was based on Tueday's show, not previous auditions, and I'm sorry, but Rickey and Equoia's performance just weren't that good. But, anyways, I thought that America did a good choice in picking Vanessa, and a bad choice in picking Rickey. Also, why is it always a boy and girl? If it were my pick, it would be Vanessa and Kimberly. We all know that the girls are much better than the guys. But, this show has been predetermined, as they showed only a few of the auditions. Oh well, what can you do. Hopefully, Kimberly or Jordan will be at the Wildcard Show.

NEXT WEEK: I think this could possibly be the worst of them all. I think they were saving this for Frenchie, so we'd all be satisfied, but with Frenchie's new replacement, Juanita, I'm not too sure. I'm not too sure what you guys think, but Joshua is one of the worst singers, and Corey is THE WORST. We all know that. Juanita obviously isn't so good, because she wasn't meant to be in the top 32.

So who else do we have. Chip was decent, Sylvia's good, but messed up a lot. She looks too old though. Nasheka had no airtime, and she looks kind of mean in her picture. Ashley is hot as ever, and is the best looking out of this group. Not too sure how she sounds, because once again. She had no airtime, just like half the group.

But over all of them, I'm rooting for Patrick. He's definately bringing something new to the competition, and I would prefer him over Ruben, Charles, and Rickey. So, we'll see Tuesday.
